Best Magic Kingdom Restaurants

Disney World castle

As the most kid-friendly park on Disney World property, Magic Kingdom suffered for a long time on the food front. Thankfully, that has started to change with a couple options popping up over the years.

Be Our Guest

  • Food type: Quasi-French
  • Theme: Beast’s castle from Beauty and the Beast
  • Do you need a reservation? Yes, and good luck getting one

This is probably the hardest place to get reservations in Disney World at this point. Even if you aren’t a huge Disney cartoon movie fan, it’s worth going to because the detail that went into replicating Beast’s castle is truly impressive. Every meal we’ve had there has been delicious, and we are even a fan of their private-label red wine. (Yes, you can get alcohol here!)

The desserts are also great.

The main seating area can get loud, but you will probably be so busy looking at the chandelier and the falling snow outside of the windows you won’t notice. (Fun fact: the faces of the angels on the ceiling are the Imagineers who helped create the restaurant.)

Take the time to walk to the left and check out the West Wing, complete with the blooming enchanted rose.

Jungle Navigation Skipper Canteen

  • Food type: Asian/African fusion
  • Theme: The home base for the Jungle Cruise crew
  • Do you need a reservation? Yes

Relatively speaking, this is a newer addition to Magic Kingdom that was easier to duck into for awhile, but folks have found it, as evidenced by the long waits.

The theming is around the dry, pun-based humor of the Jungle Cruise, which my husband I really enjoy. We have always gotten a good meal here, and they have a nice sangria if you’re there on a warm day. The staff has the same quippy one liners and puns you find on the ride, but without it feeling over-the-top.
